Requirements for all Positions:

Being a successful preschool teacher requires extraordinary levels of patience, enthusiasm, creativity, and above all, a love of early childhood education. A teacher must understand the needs of both the children and the child’s family. Requirements to work in a licensed child care facility:

• All child care workers must obtain Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification

• All child care workers must be at least sixteen years of age

• With our guidance, you will become a member of IdahoSTARS to complete a series of training requirements within your first 90 days of employment, then continue developmental trainings during your employment. These trainings are designed to provide you with information on child development, behaviors, health and safety, and more.

• Pass a Criminal History Unit background check and/or juvenile background check through Idaho State Police

 

Position: Lead Teacher

Job-Type: Full Time

A Lead Preschool Teacher plays a vital role in shaping young minds and fostering a positive learning environment. We seek candidates who demonstrate the following qualities:

• Strong Leadership & Classroom Management – Ability to guide and mentor assistant teachers while maintaining a structured, engaging, and organized classroom. Create a calm, pleasant, interactive experience for the children throughout their daily routine. Assist in training assistants, afternoon aids, substitutes and volunteers. Delegate assignments to assistant teachers.

• Passion for Early Childhood Education – Deep commitment to fostering the growth and development of young children through meaningful learning experiences. Frequently altering learning centers to keep them attractive and interesting. Understand and use positive behavior and guidance techniques that help each child to develop self-regulation skills.

• Excellent Communication Skills – Ability to regularly and effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Promotion of parent involvement including classroom newsletters, parent-teacher conferences and written daily reports.

Afternoon Aids

An Afternoon Aide plays a key role in ensuring a smooth transition through the children's afternoon routine while maintaining a clean and safe environment.This role is essential in providing a smooth end to the children's day while maintaining the center’s cleanliness and organization. This position is perfect for a high-school or college student. We seek candidates with the following qualities:
